Eiko is a highly prestigious artist who has performed in many countries as part of the duo Eiko & Koma. He began his professional career at the Metropolitan Classical Ballet, performing both classical Russian ballets and works by Balanchine. The South Colorado June 19 Festival is the largest celebration of inclusion ever held in America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs. The Pikes Peak Rodeo or Bust has been a Colorado Springs tradition since 1937, showcasing the best talent and action in the rodeo. Matthew Moulton began his training in Colorado with a full scholarship at the Classical Ballet Academy, where he played lead roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle and Le Corsaire.
He also studied on a scholarship in the summer programs of the American Ballet School, the Classical Ballet School of the American Ballet Theater with Mikhail Baryshnikov, the San Francisco Ballet School and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Vail, Colorado. Colton West trained at the Colorado Ballet Society and spent a year abroad studying at L'Academie de Danse Singapore under the direction of Jonathan Guillarme. Sascha Radetsky was born in Santa Cruz, California, and began her ballet studies in the San Francisco Bay Area with Damara Bennett and Ayako Takahashi. Caitlin Hopwood began her dance studies at the Colorado Springs Ballet Society and completed her training at the National Ballet School of Canada. Last season, Colton played Hans in The Nutcracker and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Colorado Youth Ballet is an incredible opportunity to explore ethnic ballets from around the world.
